| Trailering: As mentioned The Miss
Athene can cruise at almost 30 knots, add that to the trailer capabilities which can allow
The Miss Athene to launch at a prefered ramp closer to where the fish are biting. · One of Capt. Joe's most used ports is Winter Island in Salem, MA. This area has allowed not only access to catching some of the largest and numerous amounts of stripers over the years on close by islands, but also a great point to leave from for Tuna and Cod fishing. · As the Tuna "Hot Line" may heat up during the summer months The Miss Athene can trailer down to Marshfield MA. which has been known over the years to be one of the most productive "Giant Tuna" ports around. This bite ussually occures on the South West corner of Stellewagon Bank which is less than 18 miles from Marshfield, MA. · At Peak times in the late summer a spot that is also famous for "Giant Tuna" fishing is the Rock Pile off of Rockport MA. The Miss Athene can launch at Rockport and be on the Tuna fishing grounds in less than 10 minutes, this is one of the very few inshore Tuna fishing locations. |
